Icona Nucleus Concept Is An Autonomous Living Room On Wheels

Khodrocar - Like its description suggests, the Nucleus is said to be fully autonomous up to level 5… though we’ll have to see it to believe it. The look was inspired by the Neo concept that the company introduced just a few years prior, and lacks any sort of steering wheel, driver’s seat, pedals, or dash. It’s essentially a "mobile living space," says the company in its press release.

The concept stretches out to 17.2-feet (5.25-meters) long, and 7.0-feet (2.12 =-meters) wide, assuring plenty of living space in the cabin. Up to six people can fit comfortably in the concept, with one large seat in the front and rear, and a small table, with the ability to transform them all into a comfortable couch. It rides on a set of massive 26-inch wheels, and stands at 5.7-feet (1.75-meters) high.   

"The Icona Nucleus looks like a self-moving executive lounge," said the company in a statement. "Characterized by a long curvy side line which emphasizes the cell nature of the vehicle. Like a protective bubble, the Nucleus protects and embraces its passengers, at the same time offering a stunning view to the outside, thanks to an extremely wide glass surface which constitutes the majority of the upper body."

Icona doesn’t say if or when the Nucleus will be available to consumers, or how much it might cost. Like many of the vehicles the shop has built before it, we expect this one to remain an imaginative concept. Catch it on display in Geneva in just a few days.
